**Attention:** \\
Serial line access via extcomm is deprecated and is no longer available in our OS running Debian 13.
Alternatively, all serial ports with N (eg. /dev/tty**N**S0) mentioned below are also accessible via /dev/extcomm/Y/X, where Y is the number of [[..:007-patron#sizes_and_sections|section]], and X is the number of the serial port. X and Y are counted from 0.
