Generally speaking, analog sensors utilize changes of voltage, current or resistance on output terminals. The sensors can be divided into two groups:
Active → the output signal towards the GND is either voltage or current (most active sensors are powered by an external power source galvanically isolated from the unit)
Passive → the resistance between the output terminals changes depending on the measured parameter.
On the Unipi e-shop, you can find reliable passive analog sensors suitable for use in heating, air conditioning, industrial environment etc. These sensors are also a good choice for projects requiring the most precise and reliable sensors available.
Most active sensors are designed for special use and can be purchased from specialized vendors.
