Edge
Unipi Edge has a number of peripherals, most of which are optional. These include serial ports, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE, HDMI, GNSS, RTC, TPM, NVRAM, etc.
Serial ports (RS-485):
RS-485 is a serial bus standard for data transfer between devices in industrial and automation applications.
Twisted-pair cables are used to connect the devices and the most common communication protocol is Modbus RTU.

USB (optional):
USB is an industry-standard serial bus designed for connection and communication between devices using a master/slave system. Devices such as keyboard, USB storage and similar can be connected to the controller. It can also power the connected devices.

LTE (optional):
LTE is wireless communication technology designed for data transfer in GSM networks. Devices equipped with LTE can send text messages, make calls, and access the internet via LTE data.

WLAN (optional):
Wi-Fi is a set of wireless communication protocols that are based on the IEEE 802.11 standards. Devices equipped with a Wi-Fi module can connect to or act as, a local access point (AP).
