Alarm settings

Alarm settings are available right in the SCADA web interface, but only in the dekstop version. Alarms can be set to almost all data types, e.g. bool, int, real, time, dt, etc.
Attention:
Alarms can also be set when creating a data point table in Mervis IDE, but not all settings are supported. Please keep in mind that settings right in the SCADA interface override settings from the IDE. If alarms are (re)set in the SCADA interface, updating the SCADA project will not affect these settings, even if you change the alarm settings for the data point in the Mervis IDE.
Set alarm conditions
First select the data point and then click on “Set alarm settings” in the “Bulk actions” menu ![[☑›]](/_media/files:scada_bulk-actions.png?w=35&tok=0d86e7 "[☑›]"){kind=small}
Note:
It is also possible to define alarms for multiple data points at the same time, just select the desired points and open “Set alarm settings”. For successful setting it is necessary that all selected data points are of the same or related data type. The settings are always applied identically to all selected data points.
In the alarm settings you will find 3 categories of settings:
- Common:
- Delay - monitored value must be over the limit for at least the set time
- Memory enabled - when the alarm condition has passed, there remains a record that the alarm has been triggered and must now be manually reset
- Generic:
- Check comm. error - in case of communication failure of this data point, the alarm will be triggered
- Check timestamp -
- Maximum time difference - time in seconds for the delay of alarm triggering in case of communication error or for the timestamp
- Specific:
- Alarm value low - defining the lower alarm limit for analog values (real, int, etc.)
- Alarm value high - defining the upper alarm limit for analog values
- Selection of specific state - only for digital values (bool, int, etc.)
After setting the alarm, click Save and then Close.
Reset of alarm
Reset of alarm to the default value from the uploaded project (set in Mervis IDE) is possible by click on the “Restore alarm settings” item in the “Bulk actions” menu
To completely delete the alarm settings, select the data point, open “Alarm Settings” (see above) and click the Delete button. This will delete all alarm settings for the selected data points.
