Mervis IDE v2.4.2 (141823) mainly brings a fix for application crashes caused by an exception in .NET Framework 4.8 and higher. In addition, the definitions for the Unipi Patron LTE models have been updated and minor modifications have been added.

Along with the new version of Mervis IDE, we also released Mervis OS v2.4.2.6, which includes the new Mervis RT and an updated .NET server.

2022-10-06 - New Mervis IDE & OS v2.4.2 released

Mervis IDE v2.4.2 (139013) brings full support for Unipi Patron LTE controllers, which makes it possible to send and receive SMS, enable/disable or change a password for SSH connection directly from Mervis IDE.

“Watch” tab for monitoring variables during debugging was also added into Mervis IDE. It contains just those variables and function blocks that you choose in advance.

Additionally, in Mervis OS v2.4.1.20 in order to protect system storage (eMMC/SD), the location of historical data has been moved from system storage to RAM. And in Mervis OS v2.4.1.28, certificate validation support was added, including default CA certificates.

2021-12-08 - New Mervis IDE & OS v2.4.1 released

In Mervis IDE v2.4.1 (125493), it is now possible for PLCs to define event-type tasks that run a specific program only if the corresponding value is set or the value of a two-state control variable has changed.

Additionally, the option of advanced local website (HMI) customization has been added. This new functionality will help you create a product with your own branding.

2021-05-20 - New Mervis IDE & OS v2.4.0 released

In Mervis OS v2.4.0.10, support was added for Neuron S103-RPi4 and Unipi 1.1 controllers with RPi4 from the new series. These are controllers with a MAC address starting with e4:5f:xx:xx:xx:xx.

Emailing has been fixed for Mervis IDE v2.4.0 (117845). It is now possible to send emails using both SSL (port 465) and nonSSL (port 25) SMTP connections.

2021-05-10 - New Mervis IDE v2.4.0 released

In the current version of the Mervis IDE v2.4.0 (116580), it is necessary to re-fill in the data for the Mervis DB in the SCADA terminal, if you use it. Read more in the manual Creating a Mervis SCADA project.

The advantage of this version is the ability to set the period of storing variables in the internal memory. This enabled a significant increase in storage life, see the article on Modbus TCP. for more information.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to send e-mails in the current version of the IDE, a fix is being worked on.

2021-01-25 - Hardware section changed to Products

The most important improvement is changing the section's name from “Hardware” to “Products”. The section now contains not only info directly related to hardware, but also all important information about specific products. The new content includes articles focused on inputs and outputs, choosing a suitable SD card for RPi-powered controllers and the differences between SD card type or a whole new category dedicated to the Unipi Gate device. In future, the section will also include links to up-to-date OS or documentation available for download.

2020-06-18 - Updated installation procedure on Raspberry Pi OS / Raspbian

We found out, that the manual Unipi package installation method didn't work well on Raspbian Stretch. We fixed the behaviour and also updated the Unipi Debian Repository page to include this new procedure as well: The preffered way is to use our prebuilt images, where the packages are already installed.

2020-06-12 - MervisOS and OpensourceOS 20200612.0

We have discovered, that in certain batch of Unipi Axon PLCs, the / partition was only 1.4GB large. There wasn't an easy way how to fix this and it required manual repartitioning of the /dev/mmcblk0 via fdisk. MervisOS version and OpensourceOS 20200612.0 fixes this in a way, that flashing these images will create the partition structure from scratch. This behaviour is changed only for Axon images. You can download both images here. This change is already included in the Axon Node-RED image 20200610.8
